Join Colorado Pilots for a one-day fly-in to Burlington, Colo (KITR) to enjoy the celebration of the return of the historic Carousel. This is the same carousel that was originally moved from Elitch Gardens to Burlington in 1928, and recently restored beautifully. Ride the lions, tigers and horses. Be sure to visit the nearby museum that covers its history from back in 1905 when it was built, to the present day. Museum entry is one dollar ($1) and 25 cents is the cost to ride.
Fly into KITR by 9 AM for ground transportation to breakfast at a local restaurant. Following a fantastic breakfast, we will drive to the Carousel, which opens at 11 AM. Ride the carousel, visit the museum, meet other CPA members and plan to head back to the airport around 1 PM to beat any irritating afternoon storms! We have sponsored this destination before and we had lots of fun. The Carousel is amazing and this day should be a great event with a small-town atmosphere.
