KAPA - Airspace Safety Meeting

This event is open to all Certified Flight Instructors. Numerous pilots have reported near misses at area non-towered airports, practice areas used by flight schools and on practice instrument approaches that pass through the practice areas. Some pilots are using practice area frequencies to notify other pilots of their intentions, which helps but isn't enough. What can be done to improve the situation.

On September 17, 2022 a Cessna 172 and a Sonex Xenos collided over northern Colorado killing three people. The general congestion in airspace near the Denver Class Bravo has reached a level that creates a danger to pilots training near and flying through the area.

The Colorado Pilots Association, along with the FAA and Flight Schools all feel we must improve airspace safety.

Prior to attending a safety seminar please review and abide by current CDC, State and Local health guidelines.
