The November 2018 issue of Flight Lines celebrates National Aviation History Month with notable milestones including the 1926 Air Commerce Act that established pilot licenses and aircraft airworthiness certificates, the first untethered hot-air balloon flight in 1783, and the historic “Spruce Goose” flight in 1947. CPA President Bart Jones reflects on a successful year highlighted by fly-ins to Mesa Verde, Alpine, Billings, Kearney, and Ruidoso, continued success of the Mountain Flying program, and the anticipated launch of a redesigned website.
