The November 1990 issue of Colorado Pilots Association’s Flight Lines highlights the election of new officers for the 1991 fiscal year and reflects on the organization’s significant achievements in its 18th year of operation. The newly elected leadership—President Mark Meyer, Vice President Bill Marshall, Secretary Beverly Green, and Treasurer Don Vander Ploeg—took office following the Annual Meeting held on October 20, 1990. In his inaugural message, President Meyer emphasizes the importance of unified general aviation representation in Colorado and outlines ambitious goals for organizational growth and expanded statewide presence through the formation of CPA chapters.

During the past year, CPA demonstrated strong advocacy on critical aviation issues, including opposition to the Department of Energy’s proposed flight restrictions around Rocky Flats and active participation in shaping the Terminal Control Area for Denver’s new International Airport. The organization has also focused on pilot education and safety through successful Mountain Flying Courses and expansion of aviation education resources statewide. With membership reaching 411 by October 1st, CPA continues its commitment to serving Colorado’s general aviation community through member services, regulatory advocacy, and educational initiatives.
