Officials at Rocky Mountain Municipal Airport are opening up about airport operations and finances at the facility, which has been criticized as being dismissive about neighbor complaints over noise and environmental safety.
Under new airport director Erick Dahl, the Broomfield-based airport is sponsoring tours, upping its social media presence, planning town halls with nearby residents and starting a transparency portal where financial documents can be easily accessed, say officials.
The airport has also hired a public affairs and communications specialist, Sydny Boyd, whose job is to foster “open, two-way communication between the airport, its tenants and users, and the surrounding community,” according to an airport fact sheet.
