MORE THAN $250K IN 2025 FLIGHT TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLORADO STUDENTS
27 Scholarship recipients to receive up to $12,000 each for private pilot certification
Denver, CO – May 20, 2025– Wings Over the Rockies (“WINGS”) is proud to announce the selection of 27 outstanding Colorado high school and college students as recipients of the 2025 Wings Flight Training Scholarship.
Each student will receive up to $12,000 in scholarship funding. This year’s scholarship recipients represent a diverse and talented group of aspiring aviators from across Colorado—each demonstrating a strong passion, aptitude, and commitment to pursuing their Private Pilot Certification.

Wings received more than 159 impressive applications for the scholarships, this high number of applications reflects a strong and growing interest in aviation careers. Funded by the Ray Foundation, these scholarships are part of WINGS’ ongoing commitment to educate, inspire and excite the next generation of aviation professionals. Since 2019, WINGS has awarded more than 178 scholarships totaling over $1.5 million to Colorado youth ages 15–19.
Each applicant goes through a rigorous evaluation and interview process conducted by representatives of the Wings Captain Jeppesen Foundation (“WCJF”), which completed more than 52 interviews this year to award the final 27 scholarships.
