Lea Weinkauf is the Regional Aviation Safety Manager for the USDA Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Region. She has worked in Aviation for more than 20 years. As a helicopter pilot she instructed, flew offshore and on fires, and more recently flew Helicopter Air Ambulance missions. Lea was the Aviation Training Manager at Air Methods before returning to the Forest Service, where she worked as a wildland fire fighter before beginning her aviation career. She lives in Fort Collins with her husband and son.
