About this event
Sean Elliott, EAA Vice President of Advocacy and Safety along with Charlie Precourt, former NASA Astronaut, Space Shuttle Commander will speak on how you can properly prepare and practice landing safely at the Oshkosh Airport during Air Venture 2025.
All of us are familiar with the pilots required FAA Regulation on 91.103 Preflight action. Each pilot in command shall, before beginning a flight, become familiar with all available information concerning that flight, but how many of us are practicing the Arrival Traffic Pattern at 500 feet that is flown at Air Venture for most of the arriving aircraft which is completely different then what most pilots are used to. How many of us are comfortable landing on a painted dot one third down the runway?
We will talk about the unique issues landing at Oshkosh and the importance of the pilot making the correct go around decision and more so bring your questions along and we will answer them!
