Buena Vista (properly pronounced “BEW-na Vista” by locals) is a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers.
Choose between hiking, jeep trails, whitewater rafting/kayaking on the Arkansas River, not to mention great dining, breweries, and places to stay.

Why go?

Courtesy Car

Yes! Arguably the best example of small town hospitality to be found anywhere in or near Colorado.

Don't be surprised when the airport manager replies on CTAF asking if you'll need the car to get into town. He'll not only keep it warm, but may pull it right up to your tie down, see pic. On our recent visit he also came out with straps and tied down each of our aircraft!

Restaurants

No airport cafe onsite. But not to worry, with the convenience of the airport courtesy car you'll have easy access to the many great restaurants, cafe's, etc in town.

Wilderness Aware Whitewater Rafting
