What’s in Store

Cowboy  Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup 2019 (Optional) – Friday morning, 0700 September 27th

Custer State Park in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota is full of lush forests, quiet and serene meadows, and majestic mountains. This 71,000-acre state park is also home to one of the world's largest publicly-owned bison herds, nearly 1,300 strong. The ground rumbles and the dust flies as cowboys, cowgirls and park crews saddle up to bring in the thundering herd.

The 54th annual roundup, held the morning of Friday September 27th , is open to the public. For members wishing to fly in early on Thursday, this optional event is recommended.

Additional information can be found at:

This is an “on your own” event and not part of our official fly-in plans. No admission fee required.
