||Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup 2019 (Optional) – Friday morning, 0700 September 27th
Custer State Park in the beautiful Black Hills of western South Dakota is full of lush forests, quiet and serene meadows, and majestic mountains. This 71,000-acre state park is also home to one of the world's largest publicly-owned bison herds, nearly 1,300 strong. The ground rumbles and the dust flies as cowboys, cowgirls and park crews saddle up to bring in the thundering herd.
The 54th annual roundup, held the morning of Friday September 27th , is open to the public. For members wishing to fly in early on Thursday, this optional event is recommended.

||Ellsworth AFB, 28th Bomb Wing, Home of the B1B Lancer – 1300 Friday afternoon, September 28th
The 28th Bomb Wing is a United States Air Force unit assigned to the Eighth Air Force (8 AF) of the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) and is stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. The wing is also the "host unit" at Ellsworth AFB. The wing is one of only two B-1B Lancer strategic bomber wings in the United States Air Force, the other being the 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Active for over 60 years, the 28th was a component wing of Strategic Air Command's deterrent force throughout the Cold War.
We will meet at the hotel lobby at 1230 hours and carpool together to Ellsworth AFB.
Lined with eateries, bars and boutique shops, Main Street Square is the downtown mecca for good times. The community comes together here and breathes life into this hangout spot for locals and visitors alike. Relax garden-side at the tables and benches after strolling the square. On any given day, the plaza becomes the stage for events, live concerts, seasonal ice skating and interactive fountains built for creating lasting memories.
