Flight Lines July 2005 highlights the Colorado Pilots Association’s growing national presence through its newly developed website, which has become instrumental in recruiting participants for the organization’s Mountain Flying Course and fly-ins from out of state. President Bart Jones emphasizes how this online presence represents one of the most visible positive changes within CPA over the past decade, providing members with better services and keeping the organization competitive in a rapidly changing world.   • Companion Flyer Class – Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Aspen Flying Club, Centennial Airport. 6-hour course for non-pilot passengers covering weather, preflight, map reading, and radio communications. Cost: $75 (includes breakfast and lunch). Contact: Peggy Long 303/755-1102
  • Dolores Point Fly-in – June 11-12, 2005, near Colorado-Utah border. Six aircraft participated in intimate gathering featuring airstrip in excellent condition after recent maintenance

  • Bob and Deb Stucklen celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at the Dolores Point Fly-in, sharing champagne, cake, and hors d’oeuvres with fellow CPA members
  • Kimberly Bentley (daughter of CPA member Chris Bentley) – Senior at Air Force Academy and newly appointed captain of the academy flight team. Earned private pilot certificate before high school graduation (2002), completed instrument rating (April 22, 2005), and plans to pursue commercial and flight instructor training. Double major in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies with Arabic minor. Plans post-graduation career in intelligence
