Range Finder

How far your airplane can get today, in this wind, drawn on the map.

The Range Finder map for a Cessna 172 departing Centennial (KAPA): an outlined area showing how far it can reach, with distance rings every 100 nautical miles and the airports inside the reach marked.

What you can do with it

  • Pick your airplane and fuel, and see today's reach on the map, worked out against the winds aloft.
  • Compare it with the still-air circle to see what the wind is costing you or giving you.
  • Find the airports inside your reach, for a one-way trip or there and back.
