The June 2009 issue of Flight Lines features CPA President Bob Kinney's reflections on creating pilot-friendly campgrounds at Colorado airports, inspired by discussions about developing camping facilities at Salida's Harriet Alexander Field (ANK). Kinney invites members to share information about existing camper-friendly airports in the region to compile a resource guide for summer fly-in camping trips. The newsletter also includes a detailed historical account of Breckenridge Airport by Ron Lewark, documenting the airport's development in 1961, its operational period through the 1970s, and its eventual closure in 1980 due to FAA restrictions and changing local priorities. Additionally, the issue notes membership updates including a memorial to Jack McElory and an update on Leadville Airport's new management under Lake County.
