The March 2014 issue of Flight Lines features CPA President Ann Beardall’s message highlighting the upcoming Colorado Aviation Community Meet and Greet scheduled for March 22, 2014 at KAPA. This inaugural event aims to coordinate aviation activities across the state by bringing together representatives from various aviation organizations, clubs, and airports to share event calendars, scholarship information, and resources. The goal is to create a comprehensive statewide aviation calendar, prevent scheduling conflicts, and centralize scholarship opportunities for aviation students. Additionally, the newsletter highlights the transition of CPA’s annual Light Sport Aviation Expo into the broader Rocky Mountain Aviation Expo, scheduled for June 21, 2014 at Front Range Airport (FTG), which will welcome all aviation enthusiasts regardless of aircraft type.
The association continues to strengthen its leadership and community engagement with the appointment of Ryan Carlson as the new Membership Chair, tasked with reaching younger and lower-time pilots across Colorado. The newsletter also celebrates a significant achievement with CPA member Dr. Penny Hamilton’s induction into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, recognizing her extensive contributions to aviation education and women in aviation over more than 20 years.
