Flight Lines, the Colorado Pilots Association newsletter for May 2015, reflects on a successful spring aviation season. The issue highlights the April 11 Colorado Aviation Meet and Greet at Boulder Junction City Airport (BJC), which drew approximately 200 aviation enthusiasts and 40+ aircraft. President Ann Beardall emphasizes the importance of volunteer participation in CPA events and encourages members to take advantage of upcoming fly-ins and mountain flying courses as the flying season ramps up. The newsletter also addresses state-level aviation advocacy and invites member input on key issues affecting Colorado pilots.

The issue pays tribute to long-time CPA member Peggy Long, who passed away from cancer on April 15, 2015. Long was an accomplished pilot with a Commercial Pilot certificate and Instrument rating, having logged approximately 1,300 hours. She owned a Cessna 210, competed in the Jackpot Classic, served as CPA treasurer on the Board of Directors, and flew humanitarian missions to Central America. The newsletter also highlights important safety information and regulatory updates relevant to Colorado aviators.
