The March 2025 issue of Flight Lines highlights CPA’s continued collaboration with the Colorado Department of Transportation Division of Aeronautics and upcoming community engagement opportunities. President Adrian Nye discusses the rechristening of the Social committee to “Activities” under new chair Chris Kilker, and reflects on how the Division of Aeronautics—initially met with skepticism in 1988—has become a major asset to general aviation, returning over $11 million in grants to Colorado GA airports in 2024. The organization is working together on initiatives including mountain pass waypoints for safety and will co-exhibit at major aviation conferences.

Significant airspace changes for Centennial Airport (KAPA) and Buckley Space Force Base (KBKF) took effect February 20, 2025, detailed in the newsletter’s technical section. The newsletter also features articles on electric aircraft, backcountry flying, and destination spotlights ranging from local Hayes Aviation in Akron to regional destinations in South Dakota and Idaho. Additional resources shared include Colorado’s 2025 Economic Impact Study showing airports generate $68.9 billion in revenue and support 348,500 jobs statewide.
